Hirempire V2: Everything That Changed From V1
We rebuilt Hirempire from the ground up. Here's a full breakdown of what changed, what we removed, and what's completely new in V2.

Hirempire V2 is not an update. It's a rebuild.
V1 served its purpose — it helped us learn how recruiters actually work, what they need in the first ten minutes of using a tool, and where they hit friction. But V1 was built on no-code infrastructure that couldn't scale with the product we wanted to build.
So we started over. New stack, new architecture, new features — and a fundamentally different philosophy about what a recruitment platform should be.
Here's everything that changed.
The Foundation: No-Code → Real Engineering
V1 ran on Softr, a no-code builder layered on top of Airtable. It let us ship fast, but it came with hard ceilings: limited custom logic, no real-time updates, slow page loads, and zero control over product behavior.
V2 is a fully custom Next.js application deployed on Cloudflare Pages, backed by Supabase (PostgreSQL + Auth + Storage) and automated by n8n. Every screen is purpose-built.
The result: sub-second page loads, real-time data everywhere, dark mode, and a product that actually feels like it was built for serious recruiters.
What's New in V2
1. AI CV Evaluation & Screening
V1 had no AI. V2 ships with AI wired into the core hiring workflow.
CV Bank lets recruiters upload CVs outside of any job posting. The AI evaluates each one automatically — link it to a job and it's scored against that job description; leave it standalone and you get a full profile: skills summary, experience level, strengths, and gaps.
AI Screening runs on every inbound application. Before a recruiter opens a single profile, every candidate already has an AI score with a reasoning breakdown.
AI Job Description Generator turns rough notes into a complete, polished job posting. Recruiters rate the output to continuously improve results.
2. AI Interview Intelligence
Recruiters configure structured interview questions per job. Candidates record video or audio responses directly through Hirempire. The AI then evaluates every response and generates a structured report — scoring communication, relevance, and fit — so recruiters can compare candidates objectively before a single live call.
Nothing like this existed in V1.
3. Hirempire Inbox - Threaded Candidate Communication
In V1, all candidate communication happened outside the platform. Recruiters emailed from their personal accounts, lost track of threads, and had zero history inside Hirempire.
V2 ships a full in-app inbox. Recruiters write messages inside Hirempire — they go out as emails from [email protected]. When candidates reply, the response routes back into the same thread automatically. Every message in a candidate's history is visible on their profile, searchable, and organized.
Inbox is split across three types: Applicants, Prospects, and Uploads.
4. Team Chat
V2 introduces internal team messaging built directly into the platform. Recruiters can communicate with teammates, discuss candidates, share notes, and coordinate — without leaving Hirempire or switching to a separate tool. Conversations are organized by workspace and stay linked to the context they belong to.
5. Task Management
Every recruiter's work involves actions that need to be tracked. V2 includes a built-in task system — create tasks, assign them to team members, set due dates, and link them to specific jobs or candidates. Nothing falls through the cracks.
6. Requisition Management
V2 adds a full requisition workflow for structured hiring. Before a job goes live, a recruiter or hiring manager submits a requisition — headcount request, budget, target role, hiring justification. Admins review and approve or reject. Only approved requisitions move forward to job creation.
This brings a layer of hiring governance that V1 had no concept of.
7. Hiring Analytics & Reporting
V1 had no analytics whatsoever. V2 ships a dedicated analytics dashboard covering the full hiring funnel:
- Applications over time
- Stage conversion rates (applied → reviewed → interviewed → offered → hired)
- Average time-to-hire per job
- Source performance (LinkedIn, Indeed, referral, direct)
- AI screening score distribution
- Team activity metrics
Recruiters can finally answer "what's working?" with data instead of instinct.
8. Booking Page & Meetings
Every V2 workspace gets a public scheduling page. Recruiters configure their availability; candidates and prospects book directly from a link. Booking confirmation emails go out automatically.
All booked meetings are tracked inside Hirempire — visible on the candidate's profile, on the job's pipeline, and in a central meetings view organized by day and week. No more chasing calendar links across email threads.
9. Contracts & E-Signature
V2 includes a built-in contract workflow. Recruiters draft or upload an offer letter or contract, send it to the candidate directly from Hirempire, and the candidate signs digitally without leaving their email. Both parties receive a completed, signed copy automatically. All signature events are logged and timestamped per application.
V1 had no document or signature capability.
10. Automated Follow-Ups
When an application status changes to Accepted or Rejected, V2 sends an automatic email to the candidate.
- Accepted: a congratulations email with next steps
- Rejected: an AI-written, personalized note based on the candidate's profile and the job description
Recruiters can preview before sending. In V1, every follow-up had to be written and sent manually, one by one.
11. Real-Time Everywhere
V1 required page refreshes to see new data. V2 uses Supabase Realtime — new applications, incoming messages, status changes, and task updates appear instantly across every connected device with no reload.
12. Workspace Roles & Team Management
V2 formalizes workspace permissions:
| Role | Permissions |
|---|---|
| Owner | Full access + billing |
| Admin | Full access, no billing |
| Member | Standard access |
Owners and Admins invite members by email. Invitees receive a magic link and join the workspace directly with the right role assigned.

What Stayed the Same
The core workflow hasn't changed: post a job, receive applications, evaluate candidates, communicate, and hire.
The same pricing tiers exist — Starter, Pro, Premium, Enterprise. The same mission: help recruiters hire better and faster.
What changed is every layer underneath that workflow — and then a dozen entirely new layers on top of it.
Migrating From V1
If you were a V1 user, your workspace data has been migrated. Your jobs, candidates, and applications are all in V2.
Some things work differently — the inbox replaces external email, and AI screening is now automatic. Take 10 minutes to explore the new settings panel, set up your booking page, and configure your team roles.
If you hit any issues, use the in-app chat or email [email protected].
